Programs
The Foundation provides grants and scholarships that support activities under its thematic working areas.
Individuals and organisations which meet eligibility criteria may apply for grants or scholarships. Examples are students, craftsmen or women, cultural groups, traditional institutions, schools, hospitals, NGOs, etc.
Activities
These may include:
- Mankon Language development
- Research and documentation on Mankon, e.g. tradition, history, culture, folklore, etc;
- Social and cultural activities, e.g. Traditional music and dances, art and craft, cultural activities, etc;
- Campaigns, e.g. on health issues such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, social issues, etc,
- Trainings and capacity building for individuals and organisations;
- Educational programs
- Development projects
- Exchanges and networking and collaboration;
Types of Grants
Educational scholarships
- Rewards to outstanding students of Mankon studying in Mankon,
- Support to orphans/disadvantaged children to study
Mankology grants
- Research and/or publications that preserve, shed new light or promote the culture
- Documentation, digitalisation and archiving.
- to schools for support of teaching Mankon literature/language
Social grants
- To socially disadvantaged individuals or groups
- For vocational studies or careers
Project grants
- Only for institutions, organisations, social groups, and well-defined teams;
For projects or activities that fall under one or more of the thematic working areas: culture, health, education, development.
